Zee Asian Pavilions at the Ideal Home Show 2010 in association with Shreem Events

Puja Saggar of Shreem Events was appointed by Media 10, the new show organisers of the Ideal Home Show, to co-ordinate the brand new launch of two Asian Pavilions at the 2010 Ideal Home Show.

For the first time in the 102 year history of the Ideal Home Show two Asian Pavilions were created to recognise the ever increasing popularity of Asian food, culture, fashion and lifestyle in the UK home. With Zee Network, one of the world’s leading South Asian TV Networks, as the title sponsor and BizAsia.co.uk, Gujarat Samachar & Asian Voice as the media partners the Zee Food Pavilion and Zee Lifestyle Pavilion successfully drew many more Asian visitors to the Ideal Home Show.

During the 17 day show period the Zee Pavilions were abuzz with exhibitors showcasing the best of Asian cuisine & Asian lifestyle products and services. These activities were complemented by high energy performances by Honey’s Dance Academy dancers at the Catwalk Stage in association with the British Asian movie release “It’s A Wonderful Afterlife”; exquisite henna body art demonstrations by Pavan - the world record holder for the fastest henna artist; and performances by contemporary British Asian music artists Sham D, Aaron, Karen David and a celebrity appearance by Navin Kundra too. Adding glamour to the Zee Pavilions were the crew from Zee TV’s UK based Bollywood show, “Brits Bollywood”, including top models and presenters Yuvna, Immy and Kel. With Sunita Gardner, the host of Zee TV’s highly popular current events show “Out and About” presenting an in-depth look at the show.

The best of the Zee Pavilions and the Ideal Home Show was captured by Zee Network and televised as a feature episode on the show “Out & About” and as special episodes on the “Brits Bollywood” show & the topical points of view show “Zee and You”.

The Ideal Home Show closed the doors on its most successful event in ten years having pulled-in 250,000 visitors over 17 days. The revamped event held at London's Earls Court saw an increase of 100,000 visitors on last year's figures, despite being seven day's shorter. The show is set to return even bigger and better in 2011.
